What is the GICAT?
The French Land and Airland Defence and Security Industries Association GICAT, a professional association created in 1978, has more than 270 members representing major international companies, small and medium-sized businesses. The members cover a wide spectrum of industrial, research, service and advisory activities for the benefit of military and civilian components, national and international involved in land and air security and/or defence
The objectives of the GICAT
The group represents the French Land and Air Security and Defence industrial interests around four objectives:
- Organise dialogue between institutional and industrial actors in the sector
- Offer services to its members to promote their development in France and abroad
- Create an enabling environment for the exchanges between industrial actors
- Promote the know-how and image of the sector’s industry
The GICAT’s international presence is supported by the international trade fairs EUROSATORY in France, Platinum in Monaco, Expodefensa in Colombia and Shieldafrica in Ivory Coast organized by its subsidiary the COGES, as well as a number of defence and/or security fairs abroad.
